Like everyone else I have a favorite hobby
too! What I enjoy most is communications and Ham Radios ( some people would
call it CB radios)
is one way to communicate with people. You
can communicate by ham radios locally and even long distances. You'll
be amazed of how much friends you can have using this type of communication.
Actually using a ham radio and
chatting over the internet I consider it almost the same. The only difference
is that over the radio you speak directly with the person using codes and
using nick names. According to my nick name when I speak over the radio
I'm call La_Nena ( in english it stands for Little girl). So far I have
had very good experience in using the radio I have volunteer in helping
people in serious car accidents, people needing help with their cars that
have broken down in the streets. But the most fun part about it is the
weekly reunion the we have every Saturdays. On this reunions which we call
( 10-22 meaning reunion) everyone gathers to meet each others and talk
about ham radios, antennas, radios scanners and much more... Yearly we
have a international activity where all ham radio operators from Puerto
Rico My Island and even from the states join together with
music, ruffles and food. At the moment I have too special friends that
are ham radio operators and I personally would like you to look over their
home pages.
